Le chantier de rénovation de ce bâtiment en activité fût un véritable challenge au vu de l’exigence des enseignes prestigieuses du Printemps Haussmann et de leur clientèle internationale. En effet, outre la rénovation du bâtiment, il s’agissait de créer une entrée vers le niveau R-1 bâtiment femme par la transformation d’une sortie de secours, alors que le site était en fonctionnement! Les négociations avec l’ABF au sujet des façades inscrites auront été également un défi que nous avons dû relever au préalable pour la rénovation de ce site historique.

Renovation of this building, which remained open during the works, was a real challenge given the high standards of the prestigious brands sold at Printemps Huassmann and its international clientele. Other than renovating the building itself, an entrance to the basement level (GF-1) of the women’s building had to be created by converting an emergency exit while the store remained open! Negotiations with the ABF (group of architects charged with protecting France’s cultural heritage buildings) concerning the building’s listed facades was also a challenge that had to be met before renovating this historical site.
